Following are entries you might love—like I do!—but you also might hate them and want to delete them from the dictionary.
1. The Novelist’s Toys:
Doubling the period, comma, and question mark give you period/quote, comma/quote, and question mark/quote at the end of a sentence. With a lot of dialogue, your wrists will love you.

2. ft = of the
“of the” is such a high-frequency (hifkk) brief, I use it all the time. But! you might use it for other things, like writing FT for “full time.” If so, you’ll want to delete it. (Stenogger uses fltm for full time and fltmm for full-time.)
It’s easy to add, delete, or change entries in the dictionary.
Open the interface: win+s or double-click the tray icon.
Close the interface: win+x or click the Close button at the bottom of the interface.
To add a new dictionary entry:
1. Type the shorthand you want to use into the “Brief” field.
2. Type or cut and paste the full-length text into the “Text” field.
3. Click the Add button, or hit alt+a.
4. Click the Save Button, or hit alt+s.
To delete an entry:
1. Highlight the entry.
2. Click the Delete button.
3. Click the Save button, or hit alt+s.
To edit an entry:
1. Highlight the entry.
2. Click the Edit button.
3. Edit the Brief and/or Text fields.
4. Click the Save button, or hit alt+s.
NOTE: The changes will be effective after you save them. They will show up in the search scroll the next time you start Stenogger. You can perform multiple edits before clicking the Save button.
Many blogs have html buttons, but sometimes these briefs are faster:

xxi = italics (the code will appear with the cursor at the insert point: ”< i > < / i >“ )

Use “rr” in words for the “erior” sound:
srr = superior
irr = inferior
arr = anterior
prr = posterior
itrr = interior
drrt = deteriorate
. . . . . and using ”gs” for the “tion” sound, drrgs = deterioration
. . . . . using ”t” for the “ity” sound, srrt = superiority
Double the last letter of an acronym or term (acnm) to expand it.
